Weekend Reads Series with Lattes & Lipsticks

LET’S TALK TRAVEL. Since it seems to be all we’re doing in our household; from my move back home, to fun day trips, road trip planning, and honeymoon destinations. Speaking of honeymoon…fun fact, Santorini is one of the top romantic destinations but since we’ve checked that off the list we’re looking towards more beach and relaxing getaways.

GET MOTIVATED with one of my recent reads, Girl Code by Cara Alwill Leyba or I Am That Girl by Alexis Jones and if you’re a multitasker who prefers podcasts you need to check out She Did It Her Way. I’ve started to work both into my routine, I was never into podcasts but I love to listen to this one during my commute or even while tiding up the flat.

WHAT’S GETTING UNDER MY SKIN. First it was the article that a woman was sent home from work for not wearing heels and it was OKAY. I’m sorry, what now? Although I was temporary relieved watching men try and wear heels all day at the office, it was short lived.

Only a week later I was reading how a pregnant commuter wasn’t given a seat and apparently this isn’t a one off thing, it happens ALL THE TIME. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s when commuters have bad manners. If I see a pregnant person get on I will ask someone on their behalf to move if they’re too nice because um, hello she’s carrying around another human and apparently forced to wear heels. Seriously what are you doing, carrying a newspaper, no you can move.

And with that little rant, have a lovely weekend and if you a see a pregnant person give up your seat 😉
