Month 2 of 6 for Fit Bride Bootcamp - new workouts every month, recipes and more

Wedding Update & FBB Month 2

We’ve made it through another month of the Fit Bride Bootcamp and I didn’t die! Whoo!! In all seriousness, it’s really freaking hard and I struggle through every session – some things are getting easier and some…not so much. To read all about this month and get the new workouts head over to FlexFit Dance and make sure to leave us a comment if you’re following along with the exercises and tag us on Instagram – @lattesnlipsticks @roslynrachel using #FitBrideBootcamp

Another month of FBB means it’s another month closer to the actual wedding, ahhhh!!

I’ve done so much wedding planning lately, so I decided to share my timeline with you and my tips on staying organised throughout the process. Prepare yourself for information overload.

When to Start? Build a Timeline/Checklist

I challenge you to find someone who doesn’t love a good checklist – especially when it comes to all the details involved in a wedding. Luckily, we’re planning a fairly simple wedding so my list isn’t too long and the main things are already crossed off but regardless everyone needs a good list and I found this one from Cake and Lace to be really helpful.

Your timeline should fit your wedding, I’ve based my list off of a 10-12 month planning period. Obviously if you have 3 months then you’ll need to condense but make sure you hit the bigger points.

Who Gets Paid When? Set Up a Payment Tracker

Now that you’ve started crossing things off your list and booking vendors, photographers and everything else you need to organise when their payments are due and by which method. Every company is a little different regarding time and how they prefer payment so it’s handy to have a schedule in place to make sure you don’t miss a payment.

I’m old school and like to have everything written out – you can see my version below – but if you’re a tech person, set payment dates in your phone calendar with at least 1 week reminder alarms so as to not forget.

Keep Your Future Ideas Together – aka Pinterest everything

Getting the big things crossed off your list are the most important but planning for the little things is just as important and equally as stressful in my opinion. I mean table numbers aren’t urgent but they still need to get done. In the early stages, make sure to keep your ideas all in the same place so when you get to that point in the process you can be as efficient as possible. I have both a running Pinterest board and a note in my phone for ideas like bridal party gifts, bar decorations, guestbook, etc.

Have you recently planned a wedding or planning one now, let me know in the comments how you stayed organised and what words of wisdom you have to share with me as I move into my last 5 months of planning.

For those pen to paper types, you can now shop some of my favourite stationery and wedding inspo books through Amazon.
