Must-Have Items for a Successful School Year
As the summer break draws to a close, it’s time to gear up for the new school year. Back-to-school shopping is an exciting yet sometimes overwhelming task. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! In this ultimate back-to-school shopping guide, we’ll walk you through the must-have items that will help you start the year off right and set yourself up for success.
1. Tech Gear
In today’s digital age, technology plays a crucial role in education. Consider investing in:
- Charging Ports – I can’t tell you how many times my kids have gone with uncharged devices and/or don’t know where their chargers are! For me, I like to ensure they leave all their electronics in once place so I like this one:
For individual charges, here are my favorites, the first two have both USB and USB C ports:
- Mouse pad with wireless charging capabilities. If you have students that like to use a desktop then they most likely also use a mouse. These mousepads are amazing for students to want to work while their electronics are getting charged:
- iPad/iPhone holders
2. Planners & Calendars:
I am a firm believer in organization and visualization. We need to visually see upcoming assignments/tests. I also think a traditional planner vs a digital planner works better. Here are my top choices:
This is by far the best calendar out there. It has 7 subjects on the left-hand side on the weekly review. Don’t waste time and money looking for anything else.
Get a very simple clear wall calendar to boldly write out important test dates. Put the calendar on a wall that is visible to you and your child everyday.
3. Essential Stationary
A well-stocked backpack is essential for every student. Make sure to include the following items:
Notebooks. You can get the pre-hole punched ones so they can fit in a binder or one big one that can be used for up to 5 subjects:
Pens/Pencils/Highlighters – all three are a must, especially for high-school students. If you have a girl, you can get something more aesthetic:
Transparent sticky notes so you can trace over objects/pictures. Other misc. items
4. Everything Else:
